It is Halloween week, "mésanges" (small birds) come to visit our pumpkin! They come back to visit us twice a year, once in spring and second time in autumn. They are our precious visitors, we always feel happy to see them back.

C'est la semaine de Halloween, des mésanges viennent visiter notre citrouille ! Elles nous rendent visite deux fois par an, au printemps et en automne. Les mésanges sont nos invitées rares et on a toujours plaisir à les revoir.
Une citrouille and deux mésanges are both feminine words.
"Mésange" is a feminine word even it is a male bird.
