The Beffroi (Belfry) of the 1st arrondissement

Many visitors thought the Beffroi is the part of the church "Saint Germain-l’Auxerrois" (16th century), but it is a part of the city hall (19th century). 

We hear the civil defense sirens at noon on the first Wednesday of every month from here. 

My artist friend Steven Rushefsky from New York was visiting Paris with his partner Alex during my exhibition "Paris vu de la fenêtre". Steven said to me "Yukié, congratulations on your exhibit in one of the most beautiful spaces on earth!" 

Indeed, it is an awesome place!

It is always a great experience to have a show at the Beffroi.

De nombreux visiteurs pensent que le beffroi fait partie de l'église "St Germain-l'Auxerrois" (16è siècle), mais il fait partie de de la mairie voisine (19è siècle). A midi le premier mercredi de chaque mois on y entend l'essai des sirènes d'alerte.

Mon ami artiste Steven Rushefsky de New York visitait Paris avec son compagnon Alex pendant mon exposition "Paris vu de la fenêtre". Il m'a dit "Yukié, félicitations pour ton exposition dans un des plus beaux endroits du monde !".

Effectivement le beffroi est un endroit magnifique, c'est toujours une belle expérience d'y exposer.
